Confessional: So my post with the orange nails was my first time getting acrylic and tips. I will never do that again. My nails are so weak and damaged now, I am horrified. The way they remove acrylic is by filing it off, yikes! Please take care of your nails ladies. I learned my lesson. I'm sticking to gel or natural nail manis.

i 've never had my acrylic filed off, rather they are dissolved , and then i get a few weeks break from them and use Sally Hansen nail treatments.
i took out the french tips i had on , and now i'm carrying my natural nails.

uzoo: ok ladies, finally took out the french tips, and had this shatter polish done a couple of hours ago, its DIY ,so its a bit messy.

but ,honestly , i'm not impressed with it. So i'm gonna wipe them off tomorrow and try something new.

i like how yours came out though.

i tried it. i bought the sally hanssen gold crackle bottle and it came out blobby and just plain fugly.

It's an ombre nail. You apply the one coat, let it dry, then apply the other color on top. It's probably easier to do a light color on bottom and a dark color on top.

Use a little nail polish remover with a Q-tip to clean around the edges for a more professional look.
