Could Borno Governor Be Sponsoring Boko Haram? by Idokojimmy: 10:38am On Mar 14, 2013
Well meaning Nigerians have continued to brainstorm on the seemingly continuing blast, kidnapping, shooting, robbery and so on in the northern region. Obviously, Nigerians are tired.
Perhaps this was the reason behind the jubilation that greeted the reported dialogue between a faction of Boko Haram and officials of Borno state government. The question is, what has the meeting achieved? Recall that the Borno state governor announced to the world that he met with Boko haram leaders, met some of their conditions, leading to the purported declaration of ceasefire(abi openfire, cos they never ceased).
Today, Nigerians are asking, who did Borno state governor meet? Why was the ceasefire agreement not sustained to kept? How much did the governor give them? Why has the faction that declared ceasefire not gone after those still causing problem? Are northerner leaders using this as a way of compelling the FG to give them amnesty? Or was the fund given to them meant to further their criminal activities? Speak N/landers.
