The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been described as a failure and warned not to attempt to rig the 2015 elections as it will be met with revolt.
According to the discussants at the Minna National Discourse on Corruption who made this known in Minna Friday, the PDP is going to hit the rocks and its going to sink with Nigeria.

The discussants, Dr. Hakeem Baba Ahmed, Dr. KabiruMato, ShehuSanni and Dino Malaye all spoke in the same direction while discussing a paper presented by Prof. BolajiAkinyemi on 'Confronting Trends of Indiscipline, Corruption and Disregard for Rules and Regulation in Nigeria".

They all blamed the ruling party for the many woes of the Country, adding that corruption has been institutionalized by the party.

Ahmed said "The PDP since 1999 has destroyed the foundation of Nigeria by the gross corruption existing in it. Only 2 days ago, the President put the icing on the cake by granting state pardon to a convicted criminal. Then how can we explain to the younger generation that it is wrong to be a thief".

He added that whatever the PDP was doing, the 2015 general elections should not be tampered with.

"Whatever these leaders are doing, they should not tamper with the 2015 elections. They think they can do whatever they want but if they try it, they will be surprised at what will happen but I pray we will not see that".

Mato said "in the last 14 years, PDP has been priding itself as the largest party in Africa yet it has failed to conduct a free and fair election in the last 14 years and unfortunately the PDP has destroyed the main foundation on which Nigeria stands on".

Ahmed also stated that the activities within the PDP over the past week have shown that the leadership of the Party was ready to go to any length to hold on to power in 2015.

"I'm not so sure that the people who have done what they have done in the last few weeks will also not attempt to rig the election in 2015."
The Former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Professor BolajiAkinyemi who presented the paper revealed that so far the sum of $ 500 billion has been siphoned and freighted at various time out of the shores of this nation.
