The Honourable Minister of Works Arc. Mike Oziegbe Onolememen visited His Excellency the Governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan (CON) at Government House, Asaba.
The visited afforded the Minister the opportunity to showcase the Project map for the construction of the 2nd Niger Bridge which has been awarded to the Julius Berger Construction Company. The Minister told the Governor that the 40 km approach to the bridge was redesigned to take traffic away from the center of Onitsha that used to create gridlock for travelers and assured that it will be delivered before the end of 2015.
In his response, His Excellency Governor Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan commended the Federal Government for approving the construction of the 2nd Niger Bridge and lauded the efforts of the Minister of Works in making the project a reality.
The Minister was accompanied at the visit by Julius Berger Nigeria Plc Managing Director Engr. Wolfgang Goetsch as well as Service Chiefs.
