my first HTC g2 had same problem...everything on through the center of d screen was inactive, almost dead... there r three probable culprits: flex ,the sensor(not likely) and the main screen unit, non of which is less dan 1k...m no hardware expect sha..


As 4 ROM, there is no "best".... its just a matter of choice and wat appeals to u personally

Oops! I was running on 2.3.3 also and srs root worked for me..... Are u connected to the internet when using srs root and was ur usb debugging on......if everything is all up and still nt working then use vision perm root....though i doubt vision....it bleeps up sometimes......but u cn also try Z4ROOT ZTE BLADE on 4shared.com......jst install the app nd den lauch and yu ll see temp root or perm root....click perm root nd wait for like 15mins n ure done........ U cn also try to go online nd download universal and.root....google it out nd download the file nd den root....bt im nt jst sure if htc G2 can use universal and root.....check d website furst to know if it works..... Bt ZTE BLADE worked for many people.......so try it out....
When u successfully root the phone den we cn go thru flashing senseswitch......

I think they are ICS. same with venom. the ROMs to large and will surely tell on d ram of g2. a ROM heavier than stock itself, I don't see how sleek it shud be.
