We are currently working on establishing our presence in Nigeria, and looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic individual in Lagos to work with us through this process.

The ideal candidate should be a quick learner, as well as, being an excellent negotiator, should possess good sales, communication and interpersonal skills, should be very organized, self-disciplined, enthusiastic and able to work under pressure with and without supervision. Must enjoy traveling, visiting places and networking with people. Also be very computer, and Internet savvy.

This is a six month contract with the option to go permanent.

Job Summary:

Provide and offer quality local content for our website, including photographs, and multimedia.
Inspire and inform travelers, through writing and first experiences.
Provide deals sourced uniquely as local experts that are valued adding and fair for visitors to the website.
Promote and support local businesses in travel and leisure activities to the local community as well as to a global audience interested in Lagos as local destination.

Responsibilities:

Researching and creating website content.
Writing reviews, business profiles, and carrying out interviews.
Visiting and networking with local community
Maintaining social media accounts Facebook, Google+, and Twitter.
Organizing, planning, and prioritizing work, and task allocated.
Working to company objectives.
Developing goals and plans to meet with company objectives.
Ensure consistent style, an tone throughout all company products.
Ensuring published contents is 100% plagiarism free.
Sourcing and working with 3rd parties
Liaising with colleagues remotely via email, telephone, skype, etc.
Assist with other ongoing activities the MD allocates to grow the business in Nigeria.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Minimum of HND/B.Sc. in Journalism, Creative Writing, English or Mass Communication, or any other.
One to three years experience in media, sales or Internet media related field.
Editing and writing experience
Good knowledge of the English Language, including spelling, punctuation and grammar.
Must be computer literate as well as proficient in the use of Microsoft office packages
Must be Internet savvy

Desirable:

Bachelors degree in journalism, communications, English or equivalent work experience preferred.
Experience in B2B marketing
Working knowledge of Internet marketing concepts, including social media, SEO and web design
Passion for writing, a strong interest in Nigeria, and local Tourism.
A motivated self-starter, who can both take direction but also able to work on their own initiative.
Outgoing and social personality.
Flexible, adaptive and versatile.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and work remotely.
Ability to work from home.
Ability to drive.

Salary expectations: ₦800,000.00 to ₦900,000.00 per year depending on experience.
