I just read this piece on punch "Baby daddies waiting to follow in Tuface’s footsteps" at the link: http://www.punchng.com/entertainment/e-punch/baby-daddies-waiting-to-follow-in-tufaces-footsteps/ and was like "right, this babby daddy issue is really on the rise in Nigeria". This was not the case some 10 yrs ago. Could it be the result of our people always trying to copy the Americans or what? What are u guys waiting 4, give her a ring or buzz off.

why buy the damn cow when you can get the milk for free?! we all know that "many" women best behave when they know that they could be dropped at any minute. too many women have pumped up ego the minute they get married, thus start misbehaving or let themselves go.

if a lady is good enough to fukc UNMARRIED, have a baby with her UNMARRIED then why the hell should a man marry her after that?! obviously, marriage is NOT on the agenda for this guy and lady.

Having a baby together has many junctions. It could be a one night stand, it could be as a result of rape, it could be from carelessness.
In other words, it may be unhealthy for the child but i will never subscribe to a loveless union simply because the young one is involved.

If the women who opened their legs and chose to have the babies outside wedlock are not complaining, then I don't see why it should be anyone's problem.undecided
Both parties are mostly comfortable with it IMO or how else would you explain those that have up to three or four babies with the same man without them sealing the affair?

Guys sorry but am still a little down from my other post so won't comment much but input from ladies in the house would help balance things.

Why do we Nigerians always like to blame the western nations for all our fvck ups? Did the whites put a gun to our heads and tell us to emulate the negative aspects of their culture? Nigerians have been making babies out of wedlock for a long time. It is just that, with technology we are being made aware of the issue quicker.

If a woman is stupid enough to open her legs and fornicate with a man who is not legally her husband then she has herself alone to blame. As adults, we all know that sex leads to pregnancy so anyone engaging in unprotected sex should remember that a pregnancy will not automatically translate to a guaranteed marriage.

single motherhood is a choice with the exception of rape victims that were compelled to keep the baby, divorcees of irresponsible, psycho men or widows, aside from these two group of women, any woman that is a single woman today chose to be that

But then, everything should not begin and end with a woman's ass. If she is good enough to bed, then she should be good enough to wed??

MBJ...I am still WHOOPING your azz but I agree with you wholeheartedly! If chicks don't value themselves then they shouldn't expect the type of men they want to show up!

It is not always the man's fault what goes on in your life or how you accept to be treated.

I understand your point because if a man doesn't think she is valuable enough to wed then he should move elsewhere...HOWEVER IF THE CHICK IS ACCEPTING IT...THEN WHO ARE WE TO MEDDLE IN THEIR BUSINESS?

True talk but then why he knows he can't offer her the world, why does he still stay. Why doesn't he let her go. Its not about keeping it real like one poster mentioned. Its about being honest to yourself and the lady that you are supposedly deceiving...

you mean men that are REAL about life yeah?! here is a clue, if marriage was anyway remotely in the picture then thats what two people would do. if anone seriously believe that you should marry anyone you have sex with then they should wake the hell up PRONTO!!!

unless this woman specifically told this man that she will fukc him in return for marriage (and the guy agreed), then we shouldnt even waste time on the issue. sex has absolutely nothing to do with marriage, and therefore shouldnt be used for leverage in marriage. cootie cat is good and most men "LOVE" it, thats a damn fact.

drnoel: But then, everything should not begin and end with a woman's ass. If she is good enough to bed, then she should be good enough to wed??

what has bedding a woman got to do with marriage. some ladies are good to bed because they bring out the beast in us with their looks and shapes. the only remedy for it is SEX, not MARRIAGE.......thus thats why many women are fukc but would never be walked down the aisle.

example: that honey with her skirt all up her coochie, with her tittay falling out, and a aasss that would make you change your religion......that girl is probably not the one to bring to mama, but certainly one with whom you will have a lot of bedroom fun and acrobatics.

Fine with ur reasoning but then when the chips fall down, when the wind blows and we finally see the ass of the fowl, the deed is done and she comes running back after 9mths with she/ur bundle of fornication. Why don't u then do the right thing by her,......
Re: Baby Daddy's What Are U Waiting 4: Put The Ring On Her Finger. (let debate this) by Nobody: 9:59pm On Mar 27, 2013
^^^^ bro let's reason like adults here: if a man doesnt want to marry a lady then there is NO REASON under the sun why he should. not because of a pregnancy, nor for death etc. if a lady has your baby, then she has your baby, where is the big deal? marrying her is NOT going to solve any issues here, on the contrary. why would you marry someone just because you had a child with them? as if marrying her will suddenly make this pregnancy RIGHT or PERFECT? or that you will suddenly respect (or do right by her) because she got pregnant?

anyone who has any respect for themselves or LIFE should not marry anyone unless they truly believe that this person is IT. the only way to make things right (if a lady gets pregnant) is to provide her with all the proper care and help to make sure that she gives birth and raises that child in the best environment possible for this child........ BUT living with a person that you resent, because you were forced to marry them, is certainly NOT the solution.

people should stop trying to use children as a way to get their selfish aims, and instead think with their brains. YOU GUYS ARE TALKING AS IF THERE WAS A LAW THAT SAYS THAT A WOMAN CANNOT BE A SINGLE MOTHER.

so given the circumstance you support a child growing up without his/father?

^^^again, you are assuming that because two people are not married, it automatically means that a child will grow up without his father....... simply because they are not married. many children have unmarried parents and have better contact with their father than the ones that are married. marriage is irrelevant with how a man should raise (or have contact) with his child..........unless you want to claim that a man will automatically be a better father simply because he is married to the child's mother?! lol

i support a child having two parents that are comfortable in/with their lives.

U spoke well but I suppose u are not in the country that's why u have this mentality, a nice one at that but many people i spoke with about this issue agree that its not obtainable in our country. Nice to see some Nigerians do have this way of thinking.
Re: Baby Daddy's What Are U Waiting 4: Put The Ring On Her Finger. (let debate this) by Nobody: 8:01pm On Mar 28, 2013
^^^^^ yes, you are absolutely right, in Nigeria it's a different matter, simply because people have misplaced ego...... and sadly, the only ones who are suffering are the kids.

many women would automatically think:" well, he didnt want to marry me so he shouldnt have any right to see, raise or have any say in this child's upbringing"....... they will use the child as a tool to make this guy pay for the fact that he didnt marry her.
and how many times have we heard Nigerian men completely dismiss the mother and say:"i will take full custody of the child, and raise it on my own, and the way i see fit".....as if the mother's input in this child's life was worthless.

and dont even let me start on women (and men) treating their step children like dirt, simply because they are not the biological parent. most of times in Nigeria, if a person gets married to someone who already have a child, that child will be treated as garbage or not equal to other children in that new union.
