What?? 6 eggs to a cup of flour?? Does that mean 12 eggs for 2 cups? I seriously think 6 eggs is too much for a cup of flour.

Yes 6 eggs †✽ a cup of cake flour when making sponge cakes.and a cup of flour is not a milk tin. A standard measurinng cup is not same as using a milk tin. And the sponge am talking about is the american sponge cake the airy, fatless sponge. So I know wot am talking about

You probably did not use enough icing sugar or you are using a recipe that has glycerin in it.

Hi,
When it comes to baking, even the smallest details can make a big difference in the final outcome.
Here are some important tips to help you achieve baking success:
1. Measure Accurately
Use the correct measuring tools for dry and wet ingredients. Level off dry ingredients with a knife, and use a liquid measuring cup for liquids.
2. Preheat the Oven
Always preheat your oven to the correct temperature before placing your baked goods inside. This ensures even cooking and proper rising.
3. Use Room Temperature Ingredients
Bring eggs, butter, and other refrigerated ingredients to room temperature before mixing. This helps them blend more smoothly and evenly.
4. Don't Overmix Batter
Overmixing can lead to tough, dense baked goods. Mix just until the ingredients are combined, especially with cakes and muffins.
5. Keep Your Tools Clean
Ensure all your baking tools, especially measuring cups, spoons, and mixing bowls, are clean and dry before use. This prevents contamination and ensures accurate measurements.
6. Check for Freshness
Ensure your baking powder, baking soda, and yeast are fresh. Expired leavening agents can lead to flat, dense results.
7. Follow the Recipe
Baking is more science than art, so follow the recipe closely, especially with measurements and ingredient order.
8. Use Parchment Paper
Line your baking pans with parchment paper https://customparchmentpaper.com/ for easy release and minimal sticking, especially for cookies and cakes.
9. Rotate Your Pans
Rotate your pans halfway through baking to ensure even cooking, especially if your oven has hot spots.
10. Cool Properly
Allow baked goods to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack. This prevents them from breaking or becoming soggy.
11. Test for Doneness
Use a toothpick to check if your cake or muffins are done. Insert it into the center; if it comes out clean or with a few crumbs, they’re ready.
12. Adjust for Altitude
If you’re baking at high altitudes, adjust your recipes accordingly. Higher altitudes may require more flour, less sugar, and higher baking temperatures.
13. Invest in Quality Ingredients
High-quality ingredients like butter, chocolate, and vanilla extract can elevate the flavor of your baked goods.
14. Practice Patience
Baking often requires waiting—whether it's for the dough to rise, the cake to cool, or the cookies to set. Patience is key to perfect results.
15. Store Properly
Store baked goods in airtight containers to keep them fresh longer. Some items, like cakes, may benefit from refrigeration, while others, like cookies, are best at room temperature.
Following these tips can help ensure that your baking endeavors are consistently successful, whether you're a beginner or an experienced baker.
