Power Scam Probe: Give Me Agagu And He Will Not Walk Out Free - Pat Utomi by Germannig: 10:26am On Mar 31, 2008 |
Utomi said that given the opportunity to drill some of those under probe over the $16bn allegedly spent on power, some of the former ministers invited for questioning by the committee would confess to their shady deals. He spoke with our correspondents in an interview in his office in Lagos. He said, ”While I commend and congratulate the House of Representatives committee for their efforts, they have not done enough in terms of their homework because they are not asking the right questions. ”If they gave me Olusegun Agagu, he would not be able to walk out of that room; he will not.” “Agagu, currently the Governor of Ondo State, is a former Power and Steel Minister http://www.punchontheweb.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art200803312324092 |

Is Pat going to punch in the mouth to get him to confess? The point should not be whether Agugu will reveal anything or not; the point should be whether all these crooks will be prosecuted after all these findings. |

nuzo: Please don't get your thoughts muddled up. What will be the findings if nothing is revealed by those involved? And so far, nothing worthwhile has been revealed as everyone is playing saint Tansi/mother Theresa. |

But why is no one pointing any fingers at the other Governor Lyel Imoke. He was treated rather gently at the probe, and everyone seems to be on Agagu's case. Maybe they know something I don't. But I would have thought Imoke would garner all the heat considering he not Agagu was the presiding Minister over NIPP. |

Pat Utomi again? What would he have done? We talk as if the $16B has gone down the drain forgetting that some of the projects have reached up to 75% completion in terms of design and procurement as actual construction ( which is what people see on site) usually accounts for less than 30% of the money in such contracts. |

Uche2nna: Hide ke? I dey. Just that the rate at which people were manufacturing new user names once they are banned was getting rather high and before you know it you may be arguing with just one person using 3 different usernames. |

Looks like everybody is being deceived by this circus called Public Hearing At the end of the day nothing will come out of the probe The "probers" do not have genuine intentions, they have their own hidden agenda Sooner or later, we will all discover that the Public Hearing itself is a scam! |
