About 900 National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) members out of the 2413 deployed to Kano State for their orientation have been re-deployed to other parts of the country.
The State Coordinator of the NYSC, Alhaji Bashir Yakasai said prior to last Monday's incident in Sabon Gari, very few corps members indicated interest to be re-deployed after the orientation phase of their service.

Why can't people that schooled in the state suffering from boko haram affliction just serve there ? They stand a better chance of surviving there than a newbie.

What does it take for the govt to ensure that, people from Naijanistan (Northern Nigeria ) are made to serve within that area, but not in their states of origin
They stnd a better chance cos they understand the language, culture etc!
And they will know the no-go areas better than ppl from other regions!!!

I think they all should leave there, its not safe. Imagine schooling for 5,6 or 7yrs u didn't die, only to die by bomb serving a regardless, faithless, hopeless nija. Even if u no die sef, job seeking alone fit kill person.

And what of those serving in the other restive states? I don't see the use of putting the lives of people who their parents wasted so much to train in school in danger just because they are serving a country that doesn't care about them.

That's 37% (about one third) which is pretty much. I bet you this is the figure of those who SUCCEEDED in getting redeployed. I'm sure more than 60% would have applied for redeployment.

Karaye camp tins, those pple posted to the cities should redeploy o. Cuz that is where the mayhem starts. Faggae, dala, Nasarrawa and KMC. The villages are safe but all d same if ur liver dey fail u, tear race comot o.

But how come 2,400 corp members were deployed to Kano while states like Imo got only 1600?? Do they post graduates there on purpose or what? Or they feel the numbers will balance out by the time some redeploy? Its not fair the way these people are posted to death states. angry

I salute the courage of the remaining 1500. undecided
Re: 900 Corps Members Re-deployed From Kano State by Toble: 6:06pm On Mar 27, 2013
I don't knw why some graduates are so stubborn..Kano is a commercial state fine but with NYSc policy nw dere is no retainment in any place you serve, so why risk your life.can't forget Dan karaye camp along kusala dam Kano that's where I did my 3weeks Orientation after that I pick race..over 1,400 redeployed during my time Batch B
