The person whose picture appears below by name Innocent Okure (and sometimes goes by Innocent Abraham) was involved in the kidnap of his benefactor at Awoyaya on the Lekki Axis. He hails from Uyo. The benefactor was a staff of MTN Nigeria. he was kidnapped on Thursday 21st March 2013. His benefactor employed him as a security staff when he lost his previous security job being of the same church as the benefactor.

On the day of the event,Innocent woke up unusually at 4.30 AM (as seen by the 2nd security personnel who was of Hausa Origin) he made calls to certain people on the phone speaking in his Uyo dialect. As the benefactor was leaving for work on the day in his almost brand new Toyota Avensis, Innocent begged to join him as he said he had some urgent thing to do at Victoria Island. Just after about 50m drive along the road, they were stopped by 3 gun wielding young men, who immediately transferred the benefactor into their car without Innocent following.

Innocent, on his facebook account (http://www.facebook.com/innocent.okure) claims to work with ChevronTexaco as technical coordinator and claimed to have attend oxford college, these, he does to deceive unsuspecting members of the public

The Calabar speaking kidnappers held on to the benefactor for a week and released him after collecting a ransome of N3m. They claim to have "deleted" Innocent to cover him up, however there was no trace of such occurrence. Innocent is suspected to have disappeared with the benefactor's car. Checks at Innocents's apartment in the house shows that he had left with all his belongings. These kidnappers in connivance with informants in the neighborhood were reported to have kidnapped 2 other people in the past.

Please if you have any information about this criminal, kindly email the details to doman2000@gmail.com

Thank you

Churchman!Nigerians wont believe your story because of the gentle looks and the church background. I really feel for you brother. Keep us updated when you catch him. He can run but he can't hide. However, if you set to malign an 'innocent' Innocent, nemesis will catch up with you. Do Akwa Ibomites bear the name Okure?

This is no malalignment. The criminal is at large and every evidence points at his involvement. H left with all his property in preparedness for the crime. His colleagues claims to have killed hm without any evidence.

We dont need any visions from above to know the guy is suspect, this is just common sense nah. If he were innocent why is he still at large? Why didnt he make himself available to the police to state his own side of the story? Abeg make una leave that "he may be innocent" talk and let's be objective here.

How do we go about this one? No murder weapon, no body. Just his alleged accomplices' word against the OP. We have no history of his online activity. He may not log on to that Facebook account ever again.

The fact his properties seem to have been moved before the incident is the only reason he could be termed an accomplice. Do people really recognize wanted persons when the walk past them in real life especially with all that chaos in Lagos?

Also because he has remained at large plus he has refused to go to the police to explain himself despite all that happened.

His neighbours, friends, acquaintances and future employers/business partners can recognize

ezme:

His accomplices claim he has been killed. You have no evidence that he is alive. Unless, you have records any online activity by him, ATM withdrawals, Phone call records or even internet presence(facebook and other social media). You may just be declaring a dead man wanted.
[b] Ok, let's be very very logical and objective like detectives here and try to come up with possible answers to the following:

1) Why would he pack all his belongings away from the house?

2) He needed to "disappear" after the operation so claiming to have killed him by his gang is a very effective way of achieving this. We have so many cases, especially in the U.S, where the criminal faked his own death and changed his identity in order to discourage being tracked or trailed by investigators. Such people dont use cards or lines that may suggest they are still alive. It's a classic move; it's nothing new.

3) Why inform the victim he has been killed? What exactly do they stand to gain by passing on the information of his purported death to the victim?

4) Since they were generous enough to supply the information about his death, why didnt they equally supply the information of where they dumped his body? Or did they carry the body away? And if you think so, of what use could his body (which would be a dead wood that slows them down in a bid to escape) be to them?

5) Why was his action that morning very unusual as reported by the other security guard?

6) The suspect has both the motive and the means as well as the precedence, so what is to stop him from carrying out the crime? This is someone who uses his facebook account to scam people, so what stops him from being invoved in kidnapping? Remember that on his facebook account he claims to have attended Oxford College and working for ChevronTexaco as technical coordinator.

If you have my kind of investigative mind then you should be thinking what I'm thinking after wrapping your head around this enigma. We must learn to think outside the box and read between the lines because things are not always what they appear to be. Investigative work is never just black and white...

@ Surveyprof, Here are answers to your questions:

The criminals collected cash in dollars(they requested that the N3m be converted to dollars for easy handling) by hand at an agreed location. The money was given without involving the police to avoid putting the life of the victim at risk.

The criminal used the SIM card of the victim on a cheap phone and changed locations in order not to be tracked, knowing that the victim is an MTN staff. At a time, they were tracked to be talking from Apapa and at other times at Ebute Metta.

The second security guard is an Hausa and nothing points at his involvement. Innocent communicated with the kidnappers in his native Uyo language thereby keeping the other security guy in the dark

Awoyaya is close to Greenspring, if you leave around , please be careful. The criminals are still on the loose and are suspected to have hosted the victim somewhere around Épe. The captor owns the house where he lives with his family. He kept the victim at the boys quarters. He speaks calabar language. His wife is aware of his criminal business. One of the boys that works with him told the victim that the kingpin was an ex-convict who had killed his wife in the past. He spent less than 2 years behind bar.

The suspect once worked as a security man at a school in the neighborhood, efforts is being made to get any information from his previous employer

The theft of vehicle and the kidnapp have been reported to the police with reservations, the captor boasts of being "well connected" and threatened severe repercussion if the kidnap was reported to the police.
