she sits on the river bank
with her back facing the town
she raise her jaw-high,
looking away from the book
sleeping on her arms.
she never for a moment-peace
hestitated as she bring
out her mirror and look at
her face as if,it was made by someone who knows little of art
she wondered GOD,
the grand creator,who made her
many a time she had been
carrying the sweet-ugly face.


she yawn and behold the beautiful
sun-setting sky kissing the river,
and sees birdy-windows.
she push her feet forward
and enter into the river.
slowly,boldly,momentarily ticking
her small dark foot
on the sand.
and she move onwards
not giving out a moment of a back glance
and as the water made to sip her head
she mumble some words unknown to man
and she disappeared.


None saw her but a young man's pair
of eyes,anger swell us in his heart.
After all his proposal,
she claim,just as others call her,
she is ugly.
But beauty is always in the eyes of the beholder
she has zest,and without zest
there is on beauty.
