Ijmbe can be used for almost all courses. For example, economics, political science, biochemistry, plant biology, medicine, pharmacy etc. They are provided for in the utme brochure

Interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination. The programme is organized by the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and has accredited centres here in Ilorin. The programme is organized to ameliorate problems of admission.
