Pregnant man on Oprah: "This is a miracle" Friday, April 04, 2008 A US man who is six months pregnant has spoken out on The Oprah Winfrey Show yesterday, calling his pregnancy a "miracle." Thomas Beatie's sex change operation 10 years ago did not affect his reproductive system. He appeared on the show with his wife Nancy. She claims to have inseminated him using sperm from an anonymous donor. Their doctor says it is a normal pregnancy. He said his pregnancy was a "human desire" and that he is "a person and I have the right to have my own biological child." Mr Beatie told chat show host Oprah Winfrey he had always wanted a child. He explained that his wife was unable to get pregnant because she had a hysterectomy. “I see pregnancy as a process and it doesn’t define who I am. “Ironically, being pregnant doesn’t make me feel any more female or feminine. It doesn't make me want to go and shave my legs or something. I'm a man, I just happen to be a pregnant man. "It's not a male or female desire to have a child," he said. "It's a human desire. I have a very stable male identity." "I opted not to do anything with my reproductive organs because I wanted to have a child one day. I didn't know how. It was just a dream." "It" is a female who stopped taking her hormonal treatment for 3 years so "she" can conceive a baby with her "female" partner who could not have any other children. Kept all her "female" parts and only grew an enlarged clitoris, large enough for penetration. This transgendered inseminated herself with a "turkey" baster and got pregnant after a failed IVF cycle with "it's" reproductive specialist. Not a "real" man so to speak. False hope for the real "male" gender! |

when first heard of this story i thought it was really a man  but as almondjoy pointed out, its a woman who had a sex change, but still kept the reproductive organs. . . . she looks like a man though. what is sad that when she was a woman, she was verry pretty. . . . what a waste |

Na wa ooooooooo what is so special about this transgendered getting pregnant, people are just making unnecessary noise over nothing. But what I don't understand is what will they tell the baby after he/she is born, that the father is actually the woman that gave bith to him/her, the baby is going to be affected mentally, physical, and emotional poor child |

tRoOE: Am sure the baby would understand perfectly well when she grows up and even boast about it to her friends in school. It is only in a country like Nigeria that people are shocked, amazed and gossip about things like that. Sex change is quite common here in UK. |

like it has being said, END TIME IS HERE. i have seen the first male to get pregnant too. guess guys are now interested in carrying babes.
