Mr. El-Rufai said he budgeted an annual grant to support the judiciary.
The Civil Society Network Against Corruption, CSNAC, has filed a petition to the National Judicial Council, NJC, to investigate Nasir El-Rufai, over the annual grant he gave to the judiciary during his tenure as the former minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Mr. El-Rufai in his book, The Accidental Public Servant, said that he decided to “budget an annual grant to support the judiciary to procure court recording and automation equipment”.
The statement prompted the CSNAC to petition the NJC over the legality of the allocation by the former Abuja minister.
“We are now aware that these grants/allocation were outside the FCT judiciary budget. We are, therefore, by this petition demanding that the National Judicial Council, NJC, undertake a thorough investigation into these allocations,” the CSNAC said
The group, ‘a coalition of over a hundred and fifty anti-corruption organisations that sets out to fight against corruption and to enthrone transparency accountability in Nigeria’, called on the NJC to make public the outcome of the investigations so as to guarantee the integrity of the judiciary.

Why is presidency doing everything possible just to discredit Elrufai?
He must be a real threat to GEJ and the presidency.
If the presidency really have anything on Elrufai, I assure you they wouldn't waste time in nailing him. Obviously they do not have anything.
To all the GEJ stray bullets here, tell your boss that the work that Elrufai did cannot be matched by GEJ even if he spends 20yrs as president.

Now why don't they ask for investigation of GEJ for giving that University 200 million naira that was not in the budget?

I can't recall seeing this group come out complaining when Alams was given pardon...
