Pls do anybody know how much it cost to change the dash board of Rover 600 from british style to 9ja drive.

Cost will depend mostly on source of parts, and who's carrying out the conversion.

It's also worth noting, the Honda Accord of the same year, used the same body, and some mechanical parts.

It gives you more options as to where you source your parts from. In Nigeria, I guess it'll be easier to locate the steering rack, and dash fascia from a wrecked Honda.

The instrument cluster itself is the same for LHD / RHD.

I can do most cars, and have done a lot.

Anyone who says they can do ANY car, be careful. Some cars can NOT be converted, due to location of certain engine components, and were for a specific region only.

Cost can be anything from £300 - £650, parts and labour included.

Have made calls round various wreckers here.

All inclusive cost is £700. Includes stripping the donor car, as well as the car being converted. Breakers, I wouldn't trust to remove the parts for me, as they tend to cut anything that gets in their way, some of these parts are required.

where is your workshop, from the profile page i saw ipswich and suffolk.

That's dirt cheap for parts AND labour.

In some cars, it's easier to remove the engine / transmission, to enable the steering rack to be replaced.

Not a job for the faint hearted.

Workshop is in Chelmsford, Essex.

Or in smaller unit in Woodbridge, Suffolk.

Due to the age of the car, (relatively new) most of the parts will be sourced new.

Again, same cost as the Rover 75, as used LHD parts here for a vehicle that new will be hard to source.

It'll definitely be more than £950, but I'll call the main dealers, and see how low I can get their prices to.

Wow, I said £1,275 for the RAV-4.

Just had a call back from Ipswich Toyota, and can confirm it'll cost a damn sight more!

2001 RAV-4 PAS rack - £780 + VAT
2001 RAV-4 fascia - £260 + VAT

Haven't even confirmed if the actual instrument cluster is shaped differently for RHD / LHD.

Add to this lot, things like centre console (might be different) glovebox (definitely different, and NOT supplied with the fascia) other little under hash trims, steering column-to-PAS rack knuckle joint, pedal box etc.

Big money. Unless we can find used parts, the cost will be staggering. Even with the used parts option, the mere sourcing and removal will cost a lot in terms of time and effort / travelling.

Obviously, you can source the parts yourself, and I'll just work out labour costs.

Looking into the Mercedes query, I'll get back to you on that.

Will be cheaper than the Toyota, as it's an older model, and there are more LHD cars in junkyards, and there's always German ebay too.
