Job Title: Resident Technology Specialist
Position Type: Full Time

Job Purpose:
Maintains computing environment by identifying system requirements; installing upgrades; monitoring system performance.

Duties:
• Establishes system specifications by conferring with users; analysing workflow, access, information, and security requirements.
• Works with Head Office to plan and execute the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of PC and server hardware, software, LAN and WAN networks. Helps to ensure adherence to operational policies and procedures formulated in conjunction with Head Office.
• Maintains system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting system hardware, software, networks, OS and management systems; running system load/stress testing; escalating application problems and issues to Head Office.
• Secures system by following system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation policies and procedures; establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures; completing back-ups; maintaining documentation.
• Supports users by fielding service and change requests, responding in a timely fashion and documenting the support process as agreed with Head Office.
• Upgrades system by conferring with vendors and services; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements and new software.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Skills/Qualifications:
• System Administration, LAN Knowledge, Proxy Servers, Networking Knowledge, Network Hardware Configuration, Maintenance, Performance Tuning.
• Must have SAP ERP Administrative Experience.
• High work ethic, excellent personal grooming, excellent command of spoken and written English.
• Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, Windows Desktop, Microsoft Office, (SAP knowledge is an advantage)
• Minimum of 1 Year post-NYSC work experience.
