A Job Titles defines an employee's responsibility. But in recent times Job titles are doing more than that, as they have become tool for motivating employees and retaining them on the job. The idea for this post came when i found out that the ‘cleaners’ at my workplace are called ‘House Keeping’. Since then i stopped called our Staff bus Drivers “Driver”, i now call them ‘Pilot’. Exciting and unconventional job titles gives more dignity to a job and research suggests it can increase the employee’s confidence and Performance level. Plus, a Nice Job title gives the person hearing it confidence in the ability of the person in the job. I did some ‘googling’ and found the following Enjoy!

Not happy with that but funny though.

We call our receptionist 'front desk officer' and casual workers 'Production Operatives'

Very soon, those titles will just be over used and degraded just like their predecessors..

Anyways, by then, we'll find new titles.
