Synopsis: While the naming ceremony is in progress, the leading clergy goes into a trance and proclaims that the baby will kill his father and marry his mother. The child was later secretly taken to Cameroon so as not to make the prophecy come to pass. 28 years later in Cameroon, same prophecy was said to the him. This made him to leave for Nigeria and attempt to conquer his fears

My Take: Danny Boyle put together seasoned actors for this thriller which has got good reviews and lovers of his works like 28 days Later and Slumdog Millionaire are no doubt like this one too.

The Lion of Judah

Synopsis: When Judah the Lamb is taken by the townspeople to become a sacrifice, his six new friends from a Bethlehem stable have to go to his rescue! Judah’s new friends, led by Slink the clever mouse (Ernest Borgnine) and Esmay the motherly cow (Sandy Patti) meet up with Jack (Scott Eastwood), a teen-aged donkey with an attitude! Jack is less than happy to be part of the crew, but when the furry and feathered band of stable animals getseparated and need saving, it’s Jack who rushes to their rescue. My Take: This movie doesn’t exactly have lovely reviews from both the critics and the cinema goers so this just might not be the movie to go and watch with high hopes. And even if you still want to watch it, it was first released in 2011 with it’s DVD released in 2012 so why not get that and not risk dozing off in the cinema.
