Hello Jumia,

Why the delay on my order?
My order number is: *300712352*.
ItemQuantityPriceTorch 3 9860 - Black1₦ 41495.00

Please, your attitude on this order will determine my opinion of Jumia and
your reputation is at stake here if I observe the typical
Nigerian lackadaisical customer service that has done more harm than good
to general e-commerce and economic development in Nigeria.
Or have you gone to buy it first from Computer Village before delivery?

Sincerely,
Ekenyerengozi Michael Chima

Hello Jumia, I was debited for this order and Interswitch confirmed it
and Oyindamola of Jumia confirmed it after I received a confirmation
of successful transaction from Jumia. You all had better check your
records and deliver the product as ordered or refund my money without
further delay and unprofessional excuses before I return to Lagos,
otherwise the damages will cost you Jumia more than you can even
imagine. All the details of what I am going through will go viral. ~

Hello Jumia and Interswitch,

On Monday morning April 22, 2013, I spent four hours at my branch of the Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, Onipanu, Ikorodu Road, Lagos and fulfilled all the requirements of the error dispense form to ensure that the wrongful debit on my current account is reverted. But till date, it has not been reverted and this is affecting the cash flow of my business transactions.

I try as much as I can to avoid all the caveats and pitfalls of doing business with Nigerians online and offline and the trauma of the stress I am going through now, because of your own inadequacies cannot be compensated for in your typical Nigerian irresponsibility which as we all know is the cause of the underdevelopment of e-commerce and doing business in Nigeria.

What if I had travelled overseas for a long period, then how would it have been possible for me to go offline to my bank in Nigeria to fill an error dispense form to get my money back for an error that was not my fault? And you call what you are doing e-commerce?
This is a clear case of professional incompetence, even though we often want to give several excuses for our failures.

Do I have to go through this nonsense, because I wanted to shop on a Nigerian online store?

What I have never experienced shopping on Amazon and other foreign online stores and everything I purchased got delivered as scheduled and without any glitch or hitch.

It is really frustrating and annoying that I have to tolerate this disappointment in using Jumia.

Please, address your inadequacies lest you would jeopardize your future in the growth of e-commerce in Nigeria.

Sincerely,

Ekenyerengozi Michael Chima

Hello Jumia, Interswitch and Guaranty Trust Bank Plc,

Please, why have you not refunded my money since your several phone calls for the confirmation of my GT Bank current account number xxxxxxxxx?
Do I have to start my complaint all over again?
Or have you spent the money and trying to retrieve it? grin

Sincerely,
Ekenyerengozi Michael Chima

Hello Jumia and Interswitch,

May I know when my money would be refunded?
I cannot really comprehend why it is taking this long to refund my money since last week.

It would be best if my money is returned to my current account soonest as I have already given all the details to you and to my branch of Guaranty Trust Bank Plc in Lagos.

The sooner this nightmare ends the better for both of us before it becomes worse. Because, I am really baffled that I have to endure this trauma just for making the mistake of shopping on a Nigerian online store.
I have never experienced this since I was born.
