Jaiz Bank Plc has commenced operations in Gombe State, with a plan to be at every state capital of the federation in the next four years.

With this achievement, the bank is now located in four states in the country since the issuance of its operating license by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank, Alhaji Umru Mutallab who spoke during the inauguration Gombe branch yesterday, said the financial institution plans to be in all the 36 states of the federation in the next four years.

He said setting up a branch in Gombe was informed by the bank’s desire to make positive contributions in the society by encouraging enterprise, empowerment of the economic base of the society as well as to provide access to innovative channels of financing that are better alternatives to interest base systems.

He assured that the bank was opened to all irrespective of race or religion and would identify and promote all the very positive ideals that Gombe state is known for.

Gombe State Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan Dankwmbo said the branch located on the New Market Road, Gombe is expected to provide genuine options for those people who may consider the concept of interest on money as not being in conformity with the tenets of their faith.
He expressed the preparedness of the Gombe State government to partner and support the bank and other financial institutions that are ready to invest in the real sector of the state.
