Meet Billionaire Webpreneur: Jeff Bezos, The Brain Behind Amazon.com by Nobody: 4:26am On May 03, 2013
Should we call him a webpreneur or an entrepreneur, he is not just a thinker, he is an innovative thinker. He literally created a very huge thing out of nothing, he took risk and stood by his decision, needless i say? the risk pay off. It's my pleasure to write about the editors pick of E-commerce entrepreneur that became billionaire (USD) with his online business.

JEFF BEZOS: Meet the brain behind the whole concept of amazon.com, 49years of age, CEO and Chairman of amazon.com, second best CEO in world by Harvard Business Review, listed as one of the wealthiest people in the world with the net worth of US$23.2 billion (That was in 2012). Bezos, a graduate of electrical engineering and computer science from the Princeton University. Bezos was unemployed when he started amazon store, as he had left his high paying job several months before writing up the amazon business plan. Amazon was originally founded in Bezos' garage in Bellevue, Washington.

WHAT TO LEARN FROM BEZOS:

1. RISK: He left his job, even without test driving as to whether the business would prosper or not, he resigned any way.

2. DEDICATION: A wise question would be why did he resign? and the simple and logical answer to the question would be, because he knows what dedication means! This is an entrepreneur that knows the all-in-rule. He had the idea, he left other things and dedicated his time and effort to it.

3. TAKING ADVANTAGE OF SITUATION: Am gonna quote Wikipedia a little bit, and this is what they have to say about his invention:

he "learned about the rapid growth in Internet use", which coincided with a "then-new U.S. Supreme Court ruling [that] online retailers don't have to collect sales taxes in states where they lack a physical presence"; he had headed to Washington because its relatively small population meant fewer of his future customers would have to pay sales tax.

From that you can simple figure out that he made good use of the favoring policies and the environment.

4. PUSH FORWARD, PUSH HARD: Amazon.com is not the only business Bezos has his hands on, he also funded a space company called BLUE ORIGIN, according to Wikipedia he was quoted saying :

'not the outcome that any of us wanted, but we're signed up for this to be hard.'

When a prototype vehicle of the company crashed in the space. That's the spirit of a perfect entrepreneur, they don't give up! they wake up everyday, to repeat what they did yesterday, but now in a much more better way.

5. START ANYWAY: You read it up there, Bezos started the retail business right inside his garage! This should be a lesson, there is absolutely no excuse for not pursuing your idea. Make do with whatever resources you have on ground and walk your way through the process of turning the idea into a really big one.
