The logo was changed to suit the new name of the body now called Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), from its former name Nigeria Premier League (NPL).

Sponsorship deal

The League Management Committee on Monday signed a three year league sponsorship deal with globacom telecom worth about N1.9 billion in Lagos, and after the signing, the new logo was unveiled.

The new logo incorporates an eagle with it wings spread at the top, the name of the league and the official title sponsor name.

Futaa.com gathered that the new logo is to buttress the new title sponsorship deal following the need for a trademark for the NPFL.

However, the new logo is said to be subject to change.
