It is now that United owners and fans will know the mess SAF has dragged the club into. How can one be in charge of a club for 26 good years without making any concrete arrangement for at least a successor or series of successors. And the owners played along with this dangerous and selfish arrangement of SAF all these years. Now the club is running helter skelter for a manager while it's shares on NY stock exchange is being negatively affected. To worsen the whole situation, it is this same man that must anoint whoever is coming to succeed him! Why!

With the exception of Sir Alex and Wenger, David Moyes is by far the most technically gifted manager in the EPL. He has transformed Everton into one of the best sides in England with little funding, Imagine what he is going to do at united with all the funding he needs at his disposal.

David Moyes is odds on to be named new United manager. Mourinho has a deal in place already to return to Chelsea. The only stumbling block right now is his circa £17m buy-out clause from Madrid.

It's either Nigerians don't know hot to use twitter for live news or people on here are really dim.

ebamma: moyes is a small or mid table team coach, he will fail at man united, man u should learn from what liverpool is going through under brendan rodgers

i disagree. DM is a brilliant and resourceful coach, could be what man utd needs. Season after season he has been guiding everton to top half of the log and europa qualification with limited resources. I doffed my hat for him few seasons ago when everton fought back from relegation spot to top half of the table within ten matches or so. He has been speculating his future at everton for a while now, but i never really connected him to man utd. I have a feeling he's going to be very sucessful there though he's gonna be filling some pretty mighty shoes. I wish him the very best.

Mourinho is smart enough not to make such a mistake.

As a Manutd fan,I have always wanted to Sir Alex to retire but I think Jose Mourinho can replace him because d club won't want a coach that jumps from clubs to clubs. We want stability,JM does not have that patience, that is why d club prefers DM. He will deliver with the resources at his disposal. He built a very strong Everton team in terms of aggressive attack, solid defence and midfield.

I knew he was going to be appointed. These British people and their stupid tradition of continuity!! You want to appoint a coach of a mid table club who has not won a trophy in over 10 years of being in charge. Even a Birmingham in the championship once managed to lift the carling cup. Moyes doesnt even have any experience in Europe. You are appointin a coach for the second richest club in the world just because he can sustain the club on a low budget? WTF!! Is this how United will be turned to Liverpool?

R2bees: David Moyes to Man United is
almost as laughable as Brendan
Rodgers to Liverpool. Almost.
You can‘t compare moyes and brendan because moyes has lot of EPL experience when compared to brendan.
As for those saying he has never won trophy, no one expects that everton team to win anything simply because they can‘t compete financially with those winning trophies consistently. He has always been complaining about their lack of financial strenght.
Anyway,Moyes is a good and stable coach, unlike the lousy and unstable mourinho. Klopp could be a better option, though.

I said this in the morning and will say it again, David Moyes remains the best man for the job!

Manutd is not just a club, manutd is a religion!

Moyes is not a mediocre, he is a tested and trusted manager, the longest serving manager in Epl after fergie and wenger.

He is British (top priority), he is consistent (unlike Jose who might just run off after 3 years), he is a good manager of funds (just what the Glazier's need with the huge depth at united) and he has managed to keep everton at the top 6 position despite having to make do with insufficient funds for transfer.

All those clamoring for jose and klopp need to study united, we don't just win, we have a legacy and a tradition that needs to be maintained over time.

My top next bet are strauchen (former celtic boss, although he's been out of the game for a long time), Martin O'niel (although he just messed up his impeccable record with sunderland), Mark Hughes (very low possibility).
These are all British men with the needed qualities to lead united, but Moyes remains the best bet.

United for ever!

yampoo: If Moyes is coming he should kindly come alone, cos I don't need any everton player in man utd squad.

Felliani (central midfield), Baines (Left full back).
Baines should be drafted to Left forward (like redknap did with bale).

Those two players are better than anything manuts got for now. Would love to see Felliani partner with carrick on the midfiels, and Baines playing the left wide role.
Its time for Nani to go, and young to grow up.

Welcome Moyes, I've been your secret admirer over the years. If Manutd hadn't taken up all my spaces, I would have been an Everton fan just because of Moyes, Felliani and Baines.
