FDU has approved up to 30 scholarship awards for Nigerian students. For this first year, the awards are for undergraduate degree courses towards achieving:

1. a BSC in Information Technology

2. a BSc. in Business Management with a specialisation in Technology.

The scholarships range from a 15% cover of tuition fees to an 80% cover of tuition fees for a three year study.
Minimum Academic Qualifications Requirements

1. The minimum requirement for the scholarships is 5 C’s in O’ levels including English and Mathematics preferably at one sitting (although similar qualifications at two sittings may also be considered).
2. For candidates with OND, a minimum of a lower credit together with 5 C’s from O’levels is also acceptable
3. HND holders can also apply for the scholarship, these would not need to show evidence of a good O’Level but will be required to have a minimum of a Lower Credit to qualify
4. Also, those in the first and second year of their Universities can equally apply but will be required to have an average GPA of 3.5 and above (i.e. a 2-1 grade). It may be possible to transfer credits to FDU programmes provided such candidates from reputable Universities have sound academic standing.

3. Candidates with HND, or who have already completed the second year of their University Education in Nigeria will take two years to complete the course.

Amount of Scholarships
There are up to 30 scholarships available to Nigerians who wish to study any of the two courses listed above. Any candidate with a firm offer of admission to study at Farleigh Dickinson University (FDU), Canada, commencing September 2008, will be given a scholarship up to an incredible $51,000. Fellow Nairalanders,

I just wanted to add a few comments following recent postings by some people regarding Fairliegh Dickinson University Scholarships. Comments like the ones posted by Beelala and Jarod certainly would not encourage individuals that may have beneficial information to share.

To the two of them all I can say is I have not asked you for money nor directed anyone to come to me for anything. For your information, I don't even live in Nigeria. I found some relevant information which I felt people might benefit from back home and posted them here. I would have thought the right thing to do if you doubted the credibility of the information is to research or contact the university directly but people would rather open their large gobs and yap. If it helps visit http://view.fdu.edu/default.aspx?id=3553 and search for scholarships. I obviously benefitted from a Full Scholarship for my Masters Degree so I know there are scholarships out there. You only have to find them. Thanks Beelala and Jarod for the insults and name-calling.

Kind Regards,

Megzyone
