Its a fact that this geopolitical region is the reason nigeria is still united as a country.
However, with the upsurge in religious and tribal wars in the region, can we say that block voting and politiking is over now?
The mutual trust between the northeastherns, northwesthernerns and that of the middlebelt, is it threatened to the very foundations?
Can a berom, eggon, tarrok, idoma, tiv, igala, or all southern kaduna tribes men ever vote for an hausa/fulani muslim candidate?
Can we say thesame of the taraba, nassarawa or adamawa indigenious xtian people? Do we still have one north?
Would there be peace in the north again if any christian from the region emerges as president?
Can cpc or APC ever present a christian northerner as presidential candidate?
Then can someone explain to us what one-north is all about?.
With all these ethno-religious mistrust amoung the north, can hausa/fulani ever have power back without the usual military coup?
Now that the middle is wiser, the southsouth bolder, the east re-empowered and the west calculating what next, , will any military coup not lead to another unknown event?
Are these the very reasons why some people blindly say that Jonathan must do two terms for peace to reign?
What were the C.I.A analysing before forcasting doom for 2014?
Do we remember the US proposed trainning nigerian army for counter-insurgency in 2010? Long before all these voilence? Can president jonathan lead this nation out of this looming crisis?
Whatever the answers maybe, the unity or disintegration of this great nation lies in the activities or inaction of the geopolitical north, thats my opinion! But is the one-unitied-northern nigeria still available to save this nation again?
