It was the first game I was introduced to. As a child I was living in what could be called a village. There were no nintendos or gameboys nearby. But I had one clever cousin who used to come from lagos every now and then and regale me with tales of city life. I remember being so entranced when she was describing this mario game. As a child I was transported into another world. Playing the game was an anticlimax of sorts...because by that time i had heard so many tales about the game and had already created my own alternate Mario universe I was enmeshed in.

i remember dying soo many times and laughing hard at the music that would play once you died esp. how stupid mario looked when he'd jump up!!

i remember thinking how cute "small" yoshi was when he'd come out of the egg or was attacked..and laughing when he'd run away i love how you had to feed him to get him back to size.

the super mario franchise brought me a lot of joy as a child.
it's definitely something i'll never forget and hopefully my future kids will love it too.
i don't ever see this game going out of style!!

You're very right. This game would never go out of style. I remember when I used to play it. Then I was still a little boy. I always died when begining the second stage. I love the music too
