Jacob Barnett was diagnosed with moderate to severe autism when he was just 2 years old, around the same time his parents were told that he'd probably never be able to read. Fast-forward to the present day: The 14-year-old from Indiana isn't just reading, he's also currently studying for a master's degree in quantum physics. Impressive, huh? That's not all. Experts say that Jacob also has an IQ higher than Albert Einstein's and is totally in the running to bag himself a Nobel Prize in the future, according to reports

I've always had interest in autistic children. They are very special and smart if only we can open the right doors for them.

Strange? Last time I checked Autism does not correlate with reasoning process. autistic individuals have good memory recollection and are good at non-intellectual brain stuff like chess.

Yes chess is not an intellectual game per-se since the necessary skills needed to be good at chess is only memory recollection. That's why a normal computer chess game can beat a chess champion. Good memory not necessarily equals reasoning process. I read of one autistic man who could recall the weather forecast from 30 years past. They are more intuitive than intellectual. The reasoning process requires doubting and the ability to filter irrelevant information. The average autistic individuals brain is like a sponge and just soaks up too much information and cannot string together useful information in solving basic every day task. They are usually natural non-theoretical mathematicians i.e. they can solve complex equations but cannot formulate theories. In the world of modern mathematics problem solvers are not prized rather individual mathematicians who create problems via theorizing.
