Woolwich killing: Police arrest suspect's friend

Police on Saturday questioned a friend of Michael Adebolajo, one of two suspects in the killing of an unarmed British soldier, a savage attack that has horrified Britain.

The friend, Abu Nusaybah, was arrested immediately after he gave a British Broadcasting Corporation television interview describing how Adebolajo may have become radicalised and alleging that Britain's security services tried to recruit him. Police said Nusaybah was wanted on suspicion of involvement in unspecified acts of terrorism.

Nusaybah said Adebolajo became withdrawn after returning last year from a visit to Kenya, where he claimed he had been arrested and then abused both physically and sexually while in jail. Nusaybah claimed that Britain's domestic spy agency, MI5, approached Adebolajo to recruit him upon his return to Britain about six months ago.

Adebolajo (28) and Michael Adebowale (22) are suspected of killing soldier Lee Rigby by hacking his body with knives and a meat cleaver in front of dozens of passersby on Wednesday in the south-east London district of Woolwich. The horrific scene was recorded on witnesses' cell phones, with one of the two suspects making political statements and warning of more violence as the soldier lay on the ground.

Police shot both men as they arrived minutes after Rigby's slaying. Both suspects remain under armed guard at two London hospitals.

I am not an advocate of terrorism nor terrorists; however, there is always a reason to fight and most fighters choose to become Muslims because Islam encourages one to fight back especially where there is injustice. Nevertheless, this encouragement to fight back can be abused!

There is no need for this Nigerians again or the need to hack them the way they hacked the British soldier.

You could have said muslims again, blacks again, etc - but what would you say about the fact that they were formerly christians and think Afghanistan and Iraq are "their" lands? That is how Mutallab was trying to defend the land of muslims in Sudan forgetting that when you actually look at the politics of it, it was a war between Arabs (who claimed to be muslims) and native blacks of Sudan (with large christian and muslim populations) - Mutallab is black and if he were to be born in South Sudan he would be fighting against "muslims". What would you about Americans both pure and of foreign descent that have become the most hardcore al qaeda participants?

What the world is dealing with is the rise of a phenomenon of animals-in-human forms that use whatever cover to perpetrate their evil deeds.

These two are less than human as far as I am concerned. I do not care if their low IQs or hooliganism or lack of parenting, etc. started them on this path. When they became adults they adhered to an ideology of hate, and lost their humanity. Anybody that excuses them in any way should watch himself/herself closely - you might just be capable of committing atrocities that would scare even your own shadow.
