I am not sure if this is the best category for this post, mod pardon me if its not.
Yesterday I recieved an email which appears to come from firstbank, it reads:


Dear Customer,

Your First Bank Online security is still not active.

Please Login below to activate your Online Banking security.

Online banking Log on

Please complete your online verification

Privacy Department.
2013 First Bank Nigeria plc Dear Customer,

Your First Bank Online security is still not active.

Please Login below to activate your Online Banking security.

Online banking Log on

Please complete your online verification

Privacy Department.

I have some experience in web development so I could tell the domain is fake and the url points to a wordpress installation and I dont think an organisation like Firstbank will go for an open source technology especially when it has to do with personal banking info.

I found other fake things on the site (like http and not https) which only fellow developers can easily identify.

Please spread this 'cos there are millions of nigerians who will probably fall for this cheap Scam email.
