After spending so much time in preparing your resume and searching for jobs online in Nigeria,it would only make you happy when you get a call from an employer for an interview. At this point, the employer must have been statisfied with your qualifications and they only need you to show them what you are made of. Although you might have done well already to get a call for an interview, you are just halfway to landing the job in Nigeria. The other importants step is to now prepare for your interview and here are few steps to becoming a winner during interviews.

Leverage on Google.

The very first step to take is to get to your computer and do a search. You need to be able to analyse what and what the company does, how they operate, what kind of products they sell and how these products are beneficial. You would need to think of likely challenges they might face and what solutions you have in hand. If the employer does not have a website, then you can ask questions on their services and then go and do your search using Google. There are lots of companies out there with a website that have similar services to the one you applied to. Doing this would help you to understand the system and help you to answer certain questions.

Take Your Documents Along With You

We live in Nigeria and do not make the mistake of not taking your cv with you. You need to prepare your documents which includes your results and resume.

Prepare To Talk Well

Draw out a list of likely questions in your niche and try to answer all confidently. Employers would not want to employ someone that cannot answer questions or face people. Take your time to rehearse days or hours before your interview. You need to be able to talk about yourself, what you have achieved in the past and what goals and objectives you set for yourself.

Respect Time

There is a saying that he who respects time respects life, so avoid going late for interviews. The best time to hit a company is 30 -45 minutes before the interview. When you get there early enough, you do not only show how well you respect time but also give yourself enough time to study the company.

Look Your Best

Wear a smile when you enter the room. Ignore the expressions on their faces and go ahead to show what you have got. By doing this, the employer would see you as one who would still a smile whether under pressure or not atleast to some extent. Keep your shirt well ironed and avoid using flashy jewelries.
