Hello guys need your input. I recently used the mtn bis on systm with the mtnfastlink modem,bt the speed i get is noting to write home about. The mtn network displays hspa,bt when i download with idm the speed is always fluctuating.d highest speed i ever got was at 3am at 552 kb/s.bt any other time d download reads 56kbs to 80kbs. Cant our service provider offer us atleast a stable download speed of 2mbs.thought that d modem at 7.2mbs should be able to draw atleast 3mbs.

the speed depends on ur location nt ur modem ur modem can only give u 1mb/s when its speed is 11mb/s on d modem

Your location will also determine the speed. It sometimes fluctuate. I download at 2mbps when am in the office with mtnfastlink but at hme its always less then 550kbps. Try change your location

ok.i'll try nd change location to c if the problem is fixed. My download on d modem interface gets to 2.04mbs bt the file will stil be downloading at 256kbs. Though i stay in barnawa in kd. kd guys ur suggestn of location will be welcomed.

Your own even better, here i only get 1mbps around 3am and between 0kbps-200kbps during the day. Very bad of mtn

Dude,i can even think of downloading large files above 250mb cause its waste of battery,nepa no even dey help matter self.

Etisalat would av been better bt their bis aint working on system.

With 3.5g,the download speed is between 1-60kilobyte per second on mtn in my area. But on etisalat,I once had 500 kilobyte per second. MTN too dey fumble

The speed depends on your location. I get download speed up to 500kb/s and I know a friend that enjoys speed up to 3mb/s. Etisalat doesnt even browse at all in my location, same with Airtel. Glo is good too but I prefer using MTN.

Meeeeen! Mtn has improved in my area. It used to be 20kb/sec but nw 100 to 250kb/sec. And i can watch live tv on my laptop

My modem connects to internet but doesn't browse..I checked if there was any data uploading or downloading but there was none.help
