Abuja residents woke up today (Monday) to see
colorful Gen,Muhammed Buhari 2015 campaign
posters on the platform of the yet to be registered All
Progressive Congress (APC), adorning strategic parts
of the federal capital territory.

The colorful posters have the picture of the retired
General who is among the arrow heads of the
opposition coalition in Nigeria.

The wording's of the posters were carefully chosen to
convey the message that the General is the favored
candidate for the presidency on the platform of the
APC come 2015.

The posters were strategically pasted along the
Ahmadu Bello Way, the Asokoro district, the Federal
secretariat down to Maitama with the following bold
messages, “2015:Here Comes The Savior For Nigeria,
GEN.Muhammed Buhari (APC Consensus Candidate
for 2015 presidential election)Support Buhari: The
only man for the Job.”

There was nearly a traffic gridlock along the Asokoro
Junction this morning as motorist and passers-by
made a slow stop to catch a glimpse of the colorful
posters of the General which is the first poster ever
on the APC platform and a clear signal that the
general and his foot soldiers are getting ready to
consolidate their strategy towards emerging the APC
presidential candidate come 2015.

The timing of the posters which is coming just a day
to the general meeting of the merging parties joint
committee meeting and few days to the expected
submission of the application of the merging parties
to INEC, has kept tongues wagging over the real
motive behind the campaign which has further
heightened the 2015 presidential election fever,
earlier ignited by the ruling party.

Reacting to the posters, some residents of Abuja
expressed surprise and mixed feelings, while some
described the emergence of the posters at this time
as a mark of desperation. And a lack of tactical depth on the part of the General and his supporters since the APC platform is not yet a registered political party.

However, supporters of the General sees nothing
wrong in the timing of the General for the
commencement of his awareness campaign but
noted that the posters may be the handiwork of
overzealous supporters who see nothing wrong in
fast-tracking the political awareness campaign of the General’s presidential bid.
