beyond the emotions and sentiments that trailed the discovery of arms in kano and the subsequent arrests of some Lebanese businessmen, our security agents should really look at the crux of the episode and not be carried away by the joy to report progress in the fight against boko haram (read terrorist). from the pictures of the arms discovered and news filtering in, the following can be observed;

1. the coolers used to store those arms are coolers that were in the market in the 80's and 90's; could this mean the arms were stacked in the 80's and 90's?

2. why store arms where they will get rusty? could this be as a result of a gun runner who made money through arms and decided to venture into legit business hence the need to hurriedly get rid of his stock without raising suspicions? or maybe a coup was planned about the period(80's or 90's) and if so, who was the planner and who's government was meant to be overthrown?

3. before excavating the site, were samples taken to ascertain the time at which those arms have been there?

4. who owned the house before the Lebanese?

5. are the arms discovered in line with weapons used by boko haram? and if boko haram has this stuff then why have they been throwing locally made bombs when they could simply use grenades, c4's and rpg's?

6. why is the house which these items were found labelled a Hezbollah compound(at least by the media)? were documents discovered in the house that linked it to Hezbollah or was it linked to Hezbollah simply because the owners are Lebanese?

it is easy to label anyone caught with arms these days as aggrieved militants or terrorist sympathisers but in so doing let us not throw away the opportunity to stop a bigger monster,those arms are there for a reason, lets not restrict our area of suspicion to boko haram/Hezbollah. the discovery should be extensively investigated

Dis Guy: WHAT EXACTLY IS THE LINK TO HEZBOLLAH?

anyone ?

someone should answer the above.how does being lebanese,and selling,stocking or in possession of weapons amount to either being a member of hezbollah or actually making the weapons belong to hezbollah? what is the connection? i am sure more details would come out to shed light on how amateurish the security forces in nigeria are to have behaved like gossip queens,and to have made claims they had no evidence to back up.initially they possibly thought bringing in the name of hezbollah to sensationalize the find would give them international credit.however they little know that making claims you cannot back even to those you intend to please would dampen your credibility and make you look like a big joke.the name hezbollah keep been repeated for no good reason than to spread propaganda,spice up the story and gain international credit from israel and the US.this is especially so that hezbollah is assiting the syrian army hand in hand in the battle for the strategic city of Qusayr in Syria,against western,turkish and arabian backed rebels and alqaeda terrorists called the nusra front (an alqaeda cell in syria similar to boko haram in nigeria).yes you read right there,Hezbollah is fighting an alqaeda group in syria similar to boko haram that we have in nigeria.besides,what is nigeria's problem with hezbollah,a Shia Islamist organization different from the Sunni extrmists (aka salafist/wahhabi) alqaeda and boko haram? we cannot solve our problems with those giving us the problems,namely boko haram.our security officials are eager to transfer the battle into a propaganda fight against a foreign organization that have nothing to do with nigeria or the salafist/wahhabi ideology the dreaded boko haram adheres to,just for drama and empty credit.if nigeria have problem with hezbollah,my question remains why did the nigerian government allow a hezbollah member-hussein haj hassan-who is the minister for agriculture in lebanon to accompany the lebanese president-michel suleiman-during his official visit to nigeria about a month ago? if you call hezbollah a "terrorist organization",a label even the EU has refused to apply on hezbollah in the foosteps of israel's big daddy-the US-,then it means the nigerian government when welcoming the lebanese president to nigeria had entertained and hosted an official representing a "terrorist organization" in the lebanese government to nigeria.[/b]
