[b]• 60 killed, 30 captured in Maiduguri

[/b]A new pact between youth groups and the Joint Task Force (JTF) in Borno State is already yielding positive results as 60 Boko Haram members resisting arrest were killed as youth volunteers handed over 30 others to the JTF in Maiduguri, the state capital.

The over 60 sect members were said to have attempted to flee when the youths accosted them before they were overpowered and eventually killed in the process by the JTF who had been invited by the youths.

Daily Newswatch learnt that two other Boko Haram suspects were shot dead by the JTF while escaping from detention after their arrest.
