BREAKING NEWS! Nigeria’s players are locked in a bonus dispute with the Nigeria Football Federation and are in danger of not making the Confederation Cup. Following their African Nations Cup victory, the NFF slashed team bonuses by half from $10 000, and also cut down on backroom staff in what was seen as a cost-cutting measure. But the players have rejected the cuts and are threatening not to fly to Brazil. The squad were scheduled to fly out from Namibia on Thursday afternoon, but the players have refused to go to the airport.
