Why The Media Blackout ? - ASUP Strike by Kingclickmedia: 7:02am On Jun 20, 2013
Since the commencement of the
on-going strike by ASUP it has
becomes an arduous task for
you to see an headline talking
about the strike. I could
remember the last time ASUU
was on strike the whole print
media, television talks about it
and even grant interviews to
different professor and ASUU
president which prompt a quick
response from the federal
government due to media
pressure but the reverse is the
case in terms of polytechnic
body ASUP which can be
calculated to be enfeebly
deriled. The fight
for recognition of nigeria
polytechnic starts from the
media, if ASUP had the backing
of the media the government
would have been pressurize.
Polytechnic students across the country are not happy
particularly, with the media
over what they termed
‘blackout’ in the coverage of on-going strike action.
The question is why the media blackout ?
