Hi all, Please i will like to know what IT course/certificate(with hands on experience) a person can do in Nigeria and still be relevant in USA.Am thinking of getting and remaining relevant in my field even if i decide to leave the country at any point in time for the US of A. i will appreciate advise from nigerians in atlanta or any other part of america who have a first hand information on my enquiry. Thanks |

CompTIA Certificates are well respected in the US. The regular microsoft & java are also good, but comptia is the bomb. |

A certificate wont do you any good really...a degree is much better...then all you would have to do is just take a test or whatever.....but a certificate doesn't mean anything...because the certificate could have been given to you by your uncle in Makoko..so they dont trust it...cheers |

Mr knowitall.:Mr knowitall you seem not to knowitall afterall...lol, he's not talking about that kind of certificate u have in mind. Most, if not all IT certifications are Globally recognised, do u think comptia, cisco, microsoft, oracle, etc are Naija stuff?... |

Mr knowitall.: Thanks all for your advices. @mr knowitall do u mean a degree in computer science ?cos as far as I know dere are no degrees in comptia,cisco and d likes in nigeria(I may be wrong though). The certificates mentioned are globally recognised buh I will like you to give an example of IT firms that offer internationally recognised degree in des IT courses.thanks NB-already have a regular nigerian degree in engineering |
