Okija_juju: Where are the goddmned pictures!!?? You support these people today, tomorrow you speak the truth about them...why can't everyone speak the truth for once for goodness sake! I don't live in Nigeria and what people need is equal opportunity, a just and fair society, jobs, not this useless 5K - 10K curse money - money that can be earned before lunch break over here within a day! Nonetheless where are the pictures?? |

Ignorance begets ignorance. Poverty begets poverty.do you think for one minute that these guys care for the women on the street? This woman is as desperate to hang on to power as her husband. .in fact ,my guess is that she is even more desperate. Amaechi is seen as a threat as a result of his popularity ,independent mindedness and his rising clout which owes nothing to the federal government . My take is that since the SW ,northeast and NW is lost already,GEJ cannot afford to not run the numbers (rig) in the others places like they did in rivers with 3.1 million votes out of 3 million voters. With that done they can rely on INEC,judiciary and police to do the rest. This is the reason for the current crisis . |

An insider told me that the money shared to those women is called "troupe welfare" and that the quotation was N50,000 per head but they ended up sharing N5,000. Someone just got richer! |

Tha is the norm in our brand of politics and democracy. Its a common mode of operation among naijas ruling elite! It happens at all levels! The question people should ask is "which budget caters for these settlements"? How are public servants able to indiscriminately splash our collective assets on their leeches?? Does it mean that budget owners are able to control state funds like its their personal piggy bank?? |

Very sad indeed!! Am happy though she was deflated in PH....Prof Tam David-west cleared the air even before she came with her wahala! Imagine a society where the pple we elected into office ( or rather, that FORCED their way into power) constitute a nuisance and wahala when they are around their own people!! It's sad.... Amaechi Uar too much!! |

Re: Patience Jonathan Leaves Port Harcourt. by TOKUGAWA(m): 10:36am On Jun 24, 2013 |
What the Jonathans doesn't realise is that Nigerians are now wiser.,and its very difficult to rig election nowadays in this era of social media.I don't see him winning in 2015.His aides who must eat and protect their jobs makes him feel popular amongst d masses. Its quite unfortunate for GEJ to rule Nigeria in this social media era where information spreads in seconds. PEJ feels like the wife of a Monarch. Nigeria's Marie Antoinette. 1 Like |

Eko Ile: See as Fashola dey look at the dullard. I am not a fan of Jonathan, but the president deserves some respect rather than the insult... the prez may not be perfect his governance and administration but at least accord him the respect he deserves. afterall, you would not like it if fashola is being insulted in like manner. 1 Like |

The dancers are professional dancers who are paid to entertain august visitors and high class persons. The fact that rain fell shouldnt deter the professional dancers from doing their jobs or getting paid after their professional dancing. I am not surprised that many Nairalanders are ignorant of these. After all how many nairalanders have ever shook hands with political office holders apart from cray fish sellers. Everything appears strange to a poor man, and they are very many on nairaland. It is a pity, you can not become what you hate, most of you will die without holding political office, cos you hate politicians, you prefer to be slaves instead of masters. Its a fat shame. |

The fact that rain fell shouldnt deter the professional dancers from doing their jobs or getting paid after their professional dancing. When you are paid in kind with the insults peddled here, you would be the first to complain that your detractors do not stay on message. Be warned! On a different note, the mind truly boggles at the amount of money allocated at different tiers of government, just to fuel these cults of personality. Isn't it time we put a stop to such thriftless spending? It was with some struggle that I once had to contain my palpable anger, when approached for financial assistance by a member of the Obasanjo dance troupe who had absconded while on a official trip to a certain South American country. If you had the foggiest idea of how these groups are put together, you would quickly retract your contrived rationale. 2 Likes |

Agree with you fully. Name calling is so terribly immature and bad. You can criticize but you do not need to condescend to the point of name calling and abuses. People need to know that abusing the President is like abusing the whole nation and the people he represents. |
