Justice Ibrahim Buba of the Federal High Court, Lagos, has refused granting bail to the Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, Adeyemi Ikuforiji, on self recognition, instead slamming a N1 billion bail on him. The judge ordered Mr. Ikuforiji to meet the bail condition within 48 hours or be held in prison pending the determination of the corruption case against him.

what Can I say....?

We have to fight corruption. But they say its only " the others " that are corrupt.

1 billion as bail. All the guy's friends will quickly bar his phone lines.

In this scenario, a friend in need is a parasite.

But this a good one. The speaker must be really shocked and wondering what hit him.

Hard to believe that Justice Ibrahim Buba (formely of the Federal High Court in Asaba) could actually break away from long established tradition, to wield the big stick on a political exposed person (PEP) charged with fraud?
