Recently, when you open any PDF document on Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome browsers they open with the in-built browser pdf viewer as against the traditional method of opening in acrobat reader mode.

Have you found it difficult saving PDF files displayed in the viewer mode? Here is a way out.

For Google Chrome
Right-click on any page of the PDF and click on Save As. The option is always there, and always works, save the PDF as a PDF file to the location of choice on your hard disk.

For Mozilla Firefox
Go to Tools> Options > Applications, then find the listing for Portable Document Format (PDF). Under the Action column, you'll see that it's set for Preview in Firefox. Click the drop-down list to select an alternate PDF viewer – Acrobat Reader.

You may also install a plugin like PDF architect that allows you save the PDF file within the inbuilt PDF viewer.
