Why do people go to designers to learn fashion? When they wouldn't have the time, set up or skill to train you properly. Would you go to a doctor to learn medicine or would you enrol in a university to study medicine.
Do the fashion schools abaord have clothing lines or do they make clothes on the side using the students to sew them? No they focus on training only.and so they produce excellent fashion designers who go on to own fashion companies.
If you want to study fashion seriously go to a fashion school, that is set up and equiped to teach you, they wouldn't hide anything from you as the designer would, they see you as potencial competitors so why waste your time, money and energy.
