Until the salaries and allowances of govt officials become unattractive, we won't have good leadership.

Imagine a country where hundred of millions are spent just for local govt chairmanship positions. When the chairman resumes in office, he will have to recover the money spent first plus interest before any work is done.

Same thing goes to the presidency.

If the president was to earn 40mil annually, and 12mil for running Asshole rock. And senetors earn like 12mil annually.

Governors earn 24mil annualy, local chairmen earn 12m anually and councellors earn 6mill annually.

Elections will not be a do or die affair. Mostly people who truly want to serve Nigeria will emerge.

Nigeria will save a lot of money. I know the cases of corruption and deals, but if true leaders who have the interest of Nigerians take over, they will supervise all offices under them to ensure that there is no corrupt practice.

But in a situation where billions of naira is spent to get into power, everybody is looting to recover investment in election.

That is why they are paid massive salaries for nothing.

Until the salaries and allowances become unattractive, I am sorry this people will keep looting until the sink this nation.

60% of our countrys money is spent on govt office holders, where only 40% is used for the nation.
