Star musicians, including King Sunny Ade, have been lined up to perform at the unveiling of Fascinating Nigeria, holding in Abuja today (July 4).

Expected to celebrate the country at the Banquet Hall, State House venue of the event organised by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and National Orientation are Tuface, P Square, Iyanya and Omawumi. A statement from the ministry, however, adds that comedian AY will also be part of the programme that seeks to rebrand Nigerian tourism.

“This new brand is part of the ministry’s vision to reposition Nigeria as the preferred tourism destination and cultural capital in Sub-Saharan Africa,” the statement adds.

It further indicates that President Goodluck Jonathan and the wife Patience Jonathan, who is Tourism Brand Ambassador, will host the dignitaries that will witness it.

I watched that rubbish yesterday. Poor organisation, too much about nollywood, they nearly fought over who was introduced and who weren't culminating in the forceful introduction of clarus of new masquerade by some women. Very poor conceptualization. Potrayed a very empty Nigeria. Very limited scope. I was very ashamed watching it. Absolutely nothing to entice any tourist. Mods FP please.
