Brazil have climbed 13 places to ninth in the FIFA World Rankings following their Confederations Cup win, while England have slipped to their lowest position in five years.

The World Cup 2014 hosts had slipped down the rankings due to a lack of competitive football but have been restored to a loftier position following wins against Japan, Mexico, Italy, Uruguay and a 3-0 win against world and European champions Spain in the final.
