Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has described this morning’s massacre of 30 students and a teacher in northeastern Nigeria as “ignoble, wicked and horrendous,” and challenged the security agencies to fish out the perpetrators.

The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday at Government Secondary School, Mamudo, in Potiskum LGA of Yobe State, and the Speaker said those responsible must be brought to justice.

In a statement issued in Abuja by his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Malam Imam Imam, Tambuwal said there was no justification for the dreadful crime

He stated the gains recorded by security agencies in recent weeks in their battle against terror must continue in order to ensure that citizens are protected at all times.

Expressing sympathy for the families of the victims, the Speaker urged Nigerians to be more vigilant and to help the security agencies with useful information to help secure their localities.

He said the National Assembly will, at all times, give necessary support to ensure that peace and security is restored in all parts of the country.

Boko Haram menace didn't have to be this strong if Retardeen Jonathan had acted since 2010-2011. He waited till it became politically convinient to act. His indecisiveness has cost thousands of innocent lives of our fellow citizens. The state of emergency has failed so far. It looked a success earlier on but the terrorists are now fighting gorillar war. A situation where civilian are allowed by JTF to carry weapons to hunt down terrorist instead of gathering intelligence from civilians. These terrorists are not Nigerians; they can't be Nigerians. Information gathered so far shows weapons being used by Boko Haram were brought from Libya's arsenals after the fall of Ghadafi. Our intelligent agencies have failed to penetrate these terrorist cells. Imagine a situation where American intel agencies know more about what is going on in Nigeria than Nigerian intelligent agencies.

How did we get it so wrong with this man called Jonathan? We have never had it so bad in Nigeria. The country is not safe for anyone to live.

Tell me how the SoE has worked? 30 kids killed in one single incident...

I know where we are going... SoE will be extended to all NE states and gradually to NW. The plan is to cripple the north ahead of 2015 politically. Unfortunately the dumbos/vultures called northers leaders can't read between the lines.

Opposition is opposing SoE for this reason. They know the plan is to cripple the north ahead of 2015.

SoE now Borno, Adamawa and Bauchi.... next will be Yobe. And they will cause mayhem in other states as we approach 2015 to make SoE possible.
