After watch that shameless video of Rivers State house of assembly, which I watched more than 50times Chidi Lloyd the so called majority leader hitting other lawmakers with maze shows how wicked man can be to his fellow man, this people are supposed to the future leaders of this country but look at where we are now.Chidi Lloyd must be punished, if it is true that Amaechi is there watching then there is a big problem in Nigeria. I respect Jonathan alot because if it was to be OBJ Amaechi would have send to where he belong, the EFCC cell.i condemned this act in all way. Chidi and pro Amaechi members need to be show the way out. Ijaw man fighting his own brother. Jonathan should be allow to do his work, Boko Haram is fighting Jonathan, OBJ is fighting Jonathan, Buhari is fighting Jonathan, TINUBE and APC is fighting Jonathan, distraction from every corner for only one man. We put this man Jonathan there we should allow him work, APC and Buhari is not alternative to Nigeria problem, we are the cause our problems, and until we rise up to change our attitude, our society and communities then we will see the change we long for.We can do it if only we can allow change to take it course.

Chidi Lloyd was on vengeance to his own earlier hit. Jonathan is the man that needs to be impeached for attempting to use 5 men against 22 to impeach a speaker. This is a tip of the iceberg with what is going to happen in 2015. You cannot win oly 30% and declare yourself winner and sponsor killing of youth corpers to gain sympathy. It won't work and there will rather be war than the will of the people suppressed. God bless Nigeria.

Why are you accusing Jonathan now, , Amaechi should respect the office of the president, Abagworo let me ask you a question be honest, ie you are the CEO of company and a staff let say MD is disrespecting you and your authority and he will not allow to work, what do you think should happen. He who wears the shoe knows where it hurts, Jonathan should be left alone.

When you see an armed robber trying to steal from you, you defend it with all your might. You people don't know what happened. Ameachi and his group were fighting for ameachi's life. It was a well ochestrated coup. The anti ameachi lawmakers declare evans bipi the new speaker by the phoney margin, immediately he tables a motion for the impeachment of the governor, it is passed by the same margin that elected him. Immediately, ameachi losses his immunity and is arrested by the EFCC for offences they will make up and claim he was planning to flea when they caught him. Next minute, he is on an EFCC plane to abuja and that is the end of chibuike ameachi. Ameachi saved his life today.

Amaechi never disrespected Jonathan. Rather it was Jonathan's wife that has been treating Amaechi like a school boy. Jonathan might be a good man but his inability to control his wife shows his inherent weakness and lack of leadership qualities. He was born a follower and became a leader by mistake or luck. Amaechi only represented the interest of the Governors in some issues which differs with that of the FG but he did the right thing by being truthful about what majority of Governors want. He complained about the suffering of Rivers people because of the lackluster pace of work on East-West Road and Orubebe claimed it was an insult on the President. Now tell me what else Amaechi has done to warrant all these persecution? Ikwerre people believe in "Owhuo nu ogu" which has served as the basis for dealings with your fellow men and judgement by the Gods. Amaechi has his flaws as a man but "ojirila GEJ owhuo".

GOV ROTIMI AMAECHI'S DEADLY! A MUST READ!!The 7 Deadly Sins Of Governor Rotimi Amaechi However, Amaechi bears a chunk of the blame. I see the creeping rise of the governor’s churlishness, that pettiness which tarred my first impression of him eight or so years ago. But he has been fortunate. He is self serving and lacks a sense of proportion, yet we all – especially the media – continue to cut him so much slack.Last 3 weeks in Ekiti, he spoke at the Symposium for Young and Emerging Leaders, and all his excesses were on full display again. It was a painful thing to watch. Amaechi was unprepared – he said so himself. But whereas for others, that might have served as a cautionary marker to watch what comes out of their mouth; for him it was a licence to run amok. It is unbecoming of the governor to use every given opportunity to throw barbs at the president.Hear him: “On fuel subsidy, what have we done? A lot. That’s why they want to remove me as chairman of the Governor’s Forum. They face a radical chairman that’s why they want me removed.” Interestingly, in 2012, when they – meaning President Jonathan – took the bold, mistimed, callous decision to remove subsidy on fuel and the whole nation was about to combust, all the fingers pointed to Aso Rock. Amaechi and the other governors in the NGF from all parties, the instigators, remained strategically silent, allowing the president take the hits on their behalf. To be clear, Amaechi never said he was opposed to the removal, but no one heard him come out to speak forcefully in backing the president. When labour leaders met with him during the Occupy protest in Rivers, he said, “Please let’s bear with the president, we have only one country.”Do not forget that it was Amaechi that lead other Governors in threatening the Federal Government to remove the subsidy, as they claimed that states are starved of funds. In the midst of it, he announced a N4 subsidy, slashing the price from N141 to N137 in Rivers, and asking that motorists cut fares which had increased following the subsidy removal. And that’s exactly how he does it – by playing both ways. On the one hand he announced the laughable N4 subsidy and the bus fare slash, small gestures intended to show that he was making motion; securing his ‘lovability.’ Behind the scene however, he maintained pressure on the president to stay firm and not budge to the people’s demands, and he was at the forefront of the hawks who clamoured for soldiers to be deployed to Ojota (he mockingly said so himself at the symposium.) Let’s hear more quotes from Amaechi: “Because government is the biggest enterprise in the country, that’s why when the president enters, everybody catches cold, so that’s why I keep getting advise ‘Amaechi don’t talk again oo…’” and “I went to Turkey with the president and that’s the last trip I went with him. They don’t like taking me to travel with them…” and “They’ve threatened me with the EFCC, they’ve hunted me, there’s nothing they’ve not threatened me with… If I was not a governor with immunity, they would have taken me down.”Did I mention that people cheered him on? But of course! We love the “me” vs. “them” stories which Amaechi tells so well. His “David” vs. “Goliath” epics, in which he is always the “David” with his tongue for a sling and haughty words for stones, felling every giant in sight. But while he ‘photoshops’ his narration of his records, he cannot photoshop our memories. And we remember that it was he who pushed for the noxious Rivers Governor and Deputy Governor Fringe Benefits Bill last year which entitles all Rivers ex-governors and their ex-deputies to two houses in Rivers and Abuja, three new vehicles to be replaced yearly, 300 per cent funding for any furniture of their choice, pension equivalent to the annual basic salary of the incumbent governor or deputy, amongst other benefits. These bills of course would be footed by the Rivers taxpayer. The assembly members couldn’t dare oppose the bill. You see, part of Amaechi’s ‘maverism’ is that he doesn’t tolerate dissent. Imagine if it was Jonathan who had proposed and signed such an obscene law – Verily, verily I say unto you, the nation would have known no peace. When you hear Amaechi describe Jonathan as a “dictator”, you wonder if it’s not the same Amaechi who sacked 11 duly elected local government chairmen because they failed to attend a meeting at the Governors’ Office. When you hear him claim to be a Marxist and a radical socialist opposed to the ‘greed of capitalism’, you wonder if it’s not the same guy who six months ago blew $45 million to procure a new Bombardier jet. Today, it is exposed that the plan still belong to the American sellers and one should ask, what happened to $45million that belong to Rivers tax payers? The answer is obvious.Oh, and by the way, in Ekiti, when he saw a small reference to the absurdity of his jet purchase in an Enough is Enough (EiE) flyer which was distributed at the event, he simply accused the executive director of EiE, Yemi Adamolekun, of “trying to incite people against me. Tomorrow when you come and ask me to carry you in my jet, I won’t.” “Hahahahaha,” roared the audience. Our maverick has spoken. So in essence, Amaechi has a blank cheque – he can say whatever he likes (“kidnapping can be seen as a form of redistribution of wealth”), change positions whenever he likes (“Orubebe is an incompetent minister”/January 2013; “Orubebe is a transformational leader”/March 2013), and still have everyone in his corner. What a charmed life! He’s the only one who can condemn oppression and claim to be an oppressor while making the same speech, and be applauded both times because he is just being himself, he speaks his mind, and he is a maverick. No, no, no, he is a politician, people! He should be judged on a case by case basis and the press should not be too quick to make excuses for him. The governor is not incompetent and he is by no means a failure. If any comparison is made between him and the president, only the deliberately mischievous can claim that Jonathan has been a better performer. But it’s time to tell him that he hasn’t done anything extraordinary, that he is taking his eyes off the ball, that his double speak and double mindedness would not go unchallenged henceforth and that for some time Rivers people have been reaping thorny fruits of his neglect. It’s time for someone to tell Gov. Amaechi that he talks too much, that he needs to tone down on his self-serving arrogance and that next time he feels the need to criticise President Jonathan, he should go right ahead, but only after removing the Iroko trunk in his own eyes.
Abagworo:

I've read it and it still boils down to what I wrote previously. He only served as a voice to collective decision of Governors and criticized Orubebe's poor performance. It is in no way an insult on the President.

A thief was caught stealing, the compromised police stood aside doing the bidding of their oga at the top, what do you expect? Jungle justice! They were some serious hits and I wondered what he did to deserve such mauling until I realized he brought it upon himself. In life, always count the cost before you do something silly. A lot of people could use that advice in Nigeria. If Amaechi or his lieutenants read this, it is time for him to up his game several notches. Keep forming and strengthening useful alliances, one day it COULD save him in even major ways! Stand on the path of right, truth is a strong defence. Finally, be extra careful anytime the retardeen is travelling or moving anywhere, he should notice that he plans and executes evil anytime he is moving. Do not fly any planes or helicopters, they could shot down or rigged with explosives. Stay in Rivers and do the job you are elected to do! The retardeen's destruction is coming really fast!

It is a known fact that:

1) Patience was in Rivers to attend the so-called wedding of Bipi.

2) Bipi is simply a political tool being used by the Jonathans to disrupt the House in Rivers.

3) Bipi himself categorically stated that his grouse with Amaechi is simply because he insulted the President. Not forgetting that Bipi cannot string a simple English correctly.

The question then beggars: how and in what way did Amaechi insult the president?

Mind you I don't do copy and paste, if Amaechi is respecting the president then while all these fight, is the Amaechi only Governor in Nigeria? Can Amaechi disturbed the governance of OBJ if it where his time.Let me tell you the root of this fight, Amaechi is rooting for Lamido of Jigawa for the office of the president with hope he be offered a vp slot, if not for this reason then tell why Amaechi fight, he is on his last term of office, so why fighting the president, Obi of Anambra and that of lagos and many others are in their final term.
What does it take to say am sorry to Jonathan and face your work in Rivers if not that to fight the president because he knows he is not coming back to office again.

We know d truth;
1. GEJ is so incapacitated dat he is afraid of contesting with gov Amaechi.
2. Lies do not last. See dat my Gov. Akpabio has faced d truth (working for AKS)

3. Patience shuld be selling fish. True or false.
4. 19 is greater dan 16
5. 5 is ever less dan 13 (half of 27 LGAs)

6. Be truthful, stop fighting and lying.
7. Why sould GEJ acknowledged jona jang (while impersonating d NGF chair.

I am ashamed of our future, even though I will not live long (as i desired)

Angelica Divine: Majority Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Chidi Lloyd, has recounted his ordeal in the hands of some lawmakers opposed to the state Governor, Mr. Chibuike Amaechi, who were accused of being behind the mayhem in the state legislature Tuesday.

There was free-for-all in the House of Assembly which had reconvened after months of suspending plenary to consider an amendment to the state’s 2013 budget.

He said the Assembly, having written to the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Joseph Mbu, to provide security for the plenary, the lawmakers were happy when they arrived at the assembly to notice the presence of about 50 policemen, which they thought was in response to the request by the Speaker, Hon. Otelemaba Amachree.

He said: “We went in as members who have not seen ourselves for some time because of the crisis in the state. I was on my seat, without provocation, Hon. Evans Bipi came to me in the full glare of everybody on camera and started raining punches on me. As his leader, I did not react because I felt that it is something we could settle, whatever it is, maybe I didn’t greet him also. So he continued when that continued, the speaker intervened.

“Then he (Bipi) reached out for the tripod that stands the camera, used it freely on me. He and Michael Okechukwu Chinda, who later joined him in the attack, flogged me to their satisfaction. I didn’t utter a word until Hon. Ihunwo graciously asked me to run for my dear life because they had brought people with guns and of course, when I looked at the gallery they were shouting who is the Chidi Lloyd. Who is the Chidi Lloyd?

“So at that point, I’m sure somebody may have reached out to the governor of the state who came in with his own security because these other policemen were there standing helplessly, watching what was going on. So he came and rescued members out of the place. Then after a while we heard that they had sat, that they were meeting, they were trying to meet, they had procured a fake mace to the House, so we went back and I took the mace where they were sitting, then I sustained injury as a result of the violence by Michael Chinda and Evans Bipi.” Lloyd expressed concern over his safety and urged well-meaning Nigerians to intervene in the crisis in Rivers State before it leads to anarchy.

He said: “I’m so helpless; I don’t know who to run to. I can’t go to the commissioner of police because he is already in the arena; he’s already on the other side. I’m appealing to well-meaning Nigerians to pray for me and my family. That is the last hope we have resorted to and that we also urge the National Assembly, the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives not to turn the other way on the events in Rivers State. This could lead to something that we cannot imagine.”

If there was a way to like your comment a million times, believe me I will not blink an eyelid to do so. The OP is clear where he stands, but as they say two can never work together except they agree, so darkness and light have nothing in common.
Nigerians cannot expect a Government built on lies and deceit to perform wonders as one can only give what he has. Last night in the National news of NTA, it was said that the RHA Speaker has been impeached, you ask yourself by who? Even the clip they showed was very ridiculous, and again you ask yourself who is writing all these scripts that people are playing? It is quite pitiable to hear people say that Amaechi should respect the office of the President but I am yet to understand how and what they mean by that. When has it become a crime to have a say of your own? What is happening in River state today is regrettable as one man wants to assume the Alpha and Omega of Nigeria, I hear people saying if it was OBJ, but they are also forgetting that Orji Uzor Kalu then Governor of Abia State dug it out with Obj and till today he is still working a free man.
Nigerian youths learn to be wise, don't make illegality legal just because you have one quick stand of benefit to gain from it, the future and posterity will always remember what everyone did, even those who sponsored the october 1 bombing and Boko haram, will definitely be known someday as nothing is hidden under the sun for too long maybe then, we shall know the Angels and the Devils.
I think this Government is a typical picture of the saying the Devil you know is better than*******.

Are u sure the men were sent by GEJ or do u just read any meaning u want to just cos u want to believe it. As far as I know, it could be amaechi stage managing everything after all he came out unscared or it could even be that the 5 lawmakers took matter into their own hands just to teach amaechi a lesson. From GEJ's xter after seeing how he has reacted in the past from criticism (I mean the man is not new to criticism), I don't think he sent those 5 thugs lawmakers. I think they did what they did to impress him or to seek relevance. If u ask me, I would put my finger down to even say his wife Dame could be the culprit behind this cos she seems to be that kind of person. I have met her by chance b4 and she strikes me as just the type.

Not surprised at this at all. Indeed history has shown us this is perfectly all in order for GEJ. A man ready to visit chaos and misery on many to get his own ways.

Did we not see GEJ make Gbenga Daniel his SW campaign coordinator at a time when Daniel did this very same thing? I.e used a minority in the house to impeach the speaker so he could get a N100 billion retirement severance loot bond when he was in the last months of his day as Governor? Many, including Wole Soyinka,GEJ begged GEJ to do the right thing and stop the legislative gangterism of Daniel from being legitimised. GEJ simply turned the other way and even arrogantly made Daniel his election campaign boss for the SW right in the middle of that saga !!!! That was a crude display of how Mr. President supported legislative gansterism and theft against Nigeria so far as he got his ways. He was happy to help gangsterism pocket N100 billion and leave unborn Ogun children in debt when the speaker had already said no to Daniel on behalf of the legislators.

We also remember Ringim(former IGP) working in tandem with AGF Adoke-Bello to acquit Teslim Folarin of a murder charge and whisk him to Abuja, courtesy of GEJ, so the man could deliver Oyo delegates GEJ needed to defeat Atiku.

There is a long list of GEJ doing desperate and immoral things to get his way. Nigerians just remain too clannish and partisan to note so. Those who have not begun following politics yesterday know what GEJ is to understand he is a 'throwback' cut from the cloth of OBJ's/Anenih/George et al. Albeit with a more humble appearance that is a facade. His wife is a very vengeful lady too and she has never hidden her dislike of Ameachi. I will advise Amaechi to prepare himself for more troubles ahead. No one would attempt this impeachment on Ameachi's turf unless they know constant support from above is assured same as Gbenga Daniel was emboldened to act back then because he knew 'oga at the top' was on his side.

If u ask me, I would put my finger down to even say his wife Same could be the culprit behind this cos she seems to be that kind of person. I have met her by chance b4 and she strikes me as just the type.
Well said!!

akpomeme: Rascality at its height. From the Governor to the impeached, speaker and house leader, new leader and his cohorts are rascals. It is obvious why Ameachi does not have the rigt sense of a given occasion. I pity citizens of port harcourt. Spitting out.
Do u know the constitution at all. One needs two-third majority to impeach any public elected official. U can't impeach the speaker with just 5 members, which is less than 2/3 of the whole 28 members.
