Gunshots Reported In Rivers Government House As Thugs Invade by Ptimes: 12:37pm On Jul 10, 2013
reports from Rivers State indicate that sporadic gunshots are being fired in front of the government house in Port Harcourt, the state capital.

Media reports indicate that the shots are being fired by thugs backed up by police officers.

Witnesses also report that armoured tanks have been deployed to the state assembly complex, venue of Tuesday’s violence where about five of the 32 state lawmakers tried to impeach the speaker.

Both Governor Rotimi Amaechi and the Rivers Commissioner for Information, Ibim Semenitari, could not be reached for comments. They did not answer or return calls to their mobile telephones.

Amaechi is a suspect. Let's not forget that there was relative peace in River State until Amaechi made the statement that rivers has suddenly become unsecured. Consequently, kindnap incidents masterminded by his gang came alive. Corpers and then SA, just to show that truly the police was not working. He threatened to withhold police fund, complained about leakage of security resolutions by the police chief. And I keep wondering, what is he hiding? Is the IGP and the president not chief security officers of the country in their own rights? Don't they have the right to know what is happening in rivers?
He keeps clowning. Maybe he is drowning.
Those hoodlums are his. They will be crushed.
