In as much i wouldn't condemn Goodluck Jonathan's policies over the years, the man has come to surround himself with elements who are head-bent in misleading him. The number one person is CHIEF EDWIN CLARK.

Prior to 2011 election, this same Edwin Clark was no where to be found. Rather, OBJ was the key factor that aided the emergence of GEJ. OBJ helped convince the entire country to shun rotational presidency and adopt JONATHAN as the president. The rest is history.

immediately GEJ won the election, EDWIN CLARK resurrected from nowhere and started dancing alingo into the eardrum of the president. The man has blindfolded GEJ to the extent that president Jonathan cannot live, eat, drink, think or sleep without him. Likewise, Edwin Clark unilaterally took it upon himself to fight every perceived enemies of Jonathan whether genuine or not and he single-handedly super-impose himself on the Niger Deltans as their elder stateman. Edwin clack took on OBJ, BUHARI, AMAECHI, TINUBU, WAMMAKO, KWAKWANSO, EZEGWEZILI, NASIR-EL-RUFAI, and some other elements that he taught wanted to take GEJ's position.

At his recent usual manner, he took on Professor Ben Nwabueze for advising the president on how to go in 2015. Edwin clark referred to Professor Nwabueze as a person camouflaging his political ideas and ambition with intellectualism and also labelling him as unpatriotic saboteur of the democratic process. Yet, Edwin clark was a former student of Professor Nwabueze. Nwabueze taught him in Law at the London university in 1960/1961. If a former student cannot respect his former teacher, i wonder how he started calling himself an elder stateman.

For those people supporting GEJ ahead of 2015, you people should caution this loud-mouth calling himself the Godfather of the president. He never contributed a dime to the success of president Goodluck in the 2011 elections. The man is creating more enemies for Jonathan than friends and i want all well meaning people to caution this ethnic bigot.

LAGOS — ELDER statesman and Chairman of The Patriots, Professor Ben Nwabueze, SAN, has described as gratuitous, comments attributed to leader of the South-South Assembly, Chief Edwin Clark referring to him as a person “camouflaging (his) political ideas and ambition with intellectualism ”and an “unpatriotic saboteur of the democratic process.”

The legal icon, in a statement noted that he served under the regime of General Ibrahim Babangida and not Sani Abacha, adding that there was nothing unpatriotic or undemocratic in his advice to President Goodluck Jonathan not to contest the 2015 election and focus his attention on the nobler task of leading Nigeria out of danger.

He said: “I only advised that the President, in exercising his God-given will and democratic/constitutional right, should not seek re-election in 2015, in order to be able, unconstrained by political interests, forces and considerations, to pursue the nobler object of leading Nigeria, as one united people, out of the present quagmire in which it finds itself.

“There is nothing ‘unconstitutional’ about the advice, as it leaves the President entirely free to decide for himself. My advice was given in all sincerity as what I would personally do if I were in the President’s position. But of course, as I said in the statement in which I gave the advice, he shall never be me, nor will I ever be him. He and I are created different human beings, with different visions, outlooks on life and passions.“I do not wish to exchange vituperative words with a former student of mine, whom I am proud to have taught Law in London in the 1960/61 and 1961/62 academic years, except only to say, by way of correction, that I served as Minister under the regime of General Babangida, not General Abacha.“I hope he will, as a mark of respect properly due to me from him as his former teacher, change his mind and attend the Uyo National Summit, now postponed to August 26, 27 and 28, 2013 especially as Mr. President himself has indicated his intention to be at the summit personally. I urge that we all get together at the summit to put our heads together in a joint effort to find solutions to the problems and challenges facing our country.”

Edwin clark is arrogating to himself the alpha and the omega of GEJ and Nigeria at large and every well meaning Nigerian should stand up against this elderly man. He's becoming too arrogant

Clark is a thieving opportunist, serial blackmailer and old blabbermouth. He thinks he can build democratic consensus with threats and abuses. Smh!
