Nigerian music has increased considerably over the past few years but still we have so many features lacking. We have over talented and fast rising upcoming acts.

The question is what Structure is in place for musicians?

What brought about this question was when Tuface in a recent interview describes the royalty he has received and will keep receiving from African Queen just because the song was use in Monique Parker starred movie - Phat girls.

In Nigeria, anybody can use anybody's song on a movie, they even go to the extent of Naming movies after hit songs. This brought about the case of Paul Play and MTN, he sued MTN for listing his song as caller tunes and bla bla bla, the rest is history.

The only time you hear about PMAN is when they are fighting over something or the other. So why are the A list artistes not members of PMAN, are they not performing acts?

If producers were being recognised, paid their producing fee and also paid their royalty on songs, would OjB be enlisting public help before he can pay his hospital bills.

We could go on and on, the list is endless. Upcoming acts yapa die, asin they are too plentiful. What structure is in place for an artiste to succeed in Nigeria?

Very soon, everybody would be singing and no one listening?

Your opinions are welcomed.
